My name is Christy Gharbo, and I founded EQUIP Learning Solutions after my own 20-year learning and development journey.

Since the beginning of my career in corporate learning and development, I have created, delivered, and directed learning initiatives to help individuals increase their knowledge and skills. As I grew personally and professionally, I discovered I had a talent for recognizing and bringing out the best in others. I developed a passion for cultivating potential, and I increasingly committed myself to helping individuals identify their talents and grow their strengths.

Driven by my passion and guided by the relationship I witnessed firsthand between individual success and organizational results, I founded EQUIP Learning Solutions. Our mission is to prevent “random acts of training” and equip organizations with practical solutions to maximize the effectiveness of their training and development efforts, transforming individual potential into organizational results.

At EQUIP Learning Solutions, we:

  • Embrace all forms of learning.
We recognize we are surrounded by opportunities to learn. While we value and utilize formal learning methods to meet our clients’ and own learning needs, we recognize the powerful impact of learning and growing through relationships and experiences. For our clients and for ourselves, we work to extend learning beyond the classroom, combining formal training with opportunities to learn from others and through experiences to achieve far greater results than through formal training alone.
  • Question how we see the world.
We realize our perspective is only one of many. Not only do we acknowledge and respect different viewpoints, we seek them out. We put ourselves in our clients’ shoes and approach each situation from their points of view. We develop a deep understanding of their goals, issues, and pain points, allowing us to create solutions tailored to our clients’ business needs, not ours.
  • Understand who we are.
We have a deep understanding of our talents, strengths, and style. This knowledge prevents us from trying to be all things to all clients and allows us to serve our target market by focusing on what we do best – equipping organizations with practical solutions to improve the effectiveness of their training efforts.
  • Invest in our development.
We understand that knowing our strengths isn’t enough; developing them further is critical to our mission and our ability to serve and remain relevant our clients. We work to improve our strengths within the context of our mission, and we focus new learning around relevance.
  • Practice continuous learning.
We recognize that to grow from the many learning opportunities around us, we must assign meaning to learning experiences. We actively participate in the learning process by anticipating and actively preparing for learning, reflecting on our experiences, extracting learning from those experiences, and intentionally applying new knowledge and skills.

I would love the opportunity to help EQUIP your organization. Contact me to discuss how we can partner on this journey.
